Liett was a deformed lyrinx, lacking armor and chameleon skin. However, she was very strong in the Secret Art, especially in regards to flesh-forming and flying. She aided Ryll in creating the vicious nylatl, though she later regreted this.
Despite outward friction between Ryll and Liett, there was a deep connection between the two, which blossomed due to their work together. As the daughter of Matriarch Gyrull, Liett always expected herself to be named matriarch in her place, though Gyrull instead named Ryll the first patriarch in three thousand years.
When the lyrinx were defeated at Ashmode and offered a chance to escape by Tiaan Liise-Mar and her allies, Liett was originally suspicious, though she eventually fled to Tallallame, taking Ryll as her mate. There she ruled the lyrinx nation along with Ryll, whom she wed. Later, Liett returned to Santhenar to aid in the fight against Jal-Nish Hlar and Stilkeen and sacrificed her life for the world she so loved.
